Cisco E4200v2 Maximum Performance Dual-Band N900 Router Review

Most of us run small home networks, nothing too fancy but something that works for our needs. 10/100 networks for the modest home users are usually sufficient and when coupled with a quality wireless router you can have the best of both worlds; Speed and Freedom. I can remember back to my first experience with wireless networking and although it was 802.11b I was always trying to get more out of it. Making crazy devices such as cantennas to attract more of that wireless signal out to the patio so I could sit by the pool and enjoy my morning coffee while reading the latest tech news. These days’ things are easier, with the transition to 802.11n and with 802.11g being standard on a lot of consumer devices we get more of that range we were looking for back in the beginning. While 802.11g was a great advance forward in wireless technology I always found I was sacrificing speed for the range I was receiving and nothing ruins your morning coffee like messing with wireless settings in your router. Today we have wireless N or 802.11n that utilizes two spectrums one being the same 2.4 GHz band that 802.11b/g uses and the other being the 5 GHz band that was the original 802.11a spectrum. "
