Thermaltake Frio Advanced Heatsink Review
" Thermaltake's Frio Advanced heatsink is basically a reboot of the Jing heatsink, but this time around the copper heatpipes are exposed at the base, none of the aluminum surfaces are nickel plated and the heatpipes not soldered to the cooling fins. We mention this seemingly minor point of construction, since the Frio Advanced's heatpipes are pressed into each aluminum fin with a new type of swage joint we haven't encountered before. Thermaltake Frio Extreme Cooler Review
" The battle for the high end cooling throne has reached fever pitch this year. The Noctua NH D14 ruled supreme for a long time, although it recently had to make way for a new king, the Phanteks PH-TC14PE. Today we are looking at the latest flagship cooler from Thermaltake, The Frio Extreme. Is this a serious challenger for the top spot? Thermaltake have released a plethora of high end coolers in the last couple of years, including the original FRIO, the Frio OCK, Frio Advanced and the latest Frio Extreme which we are reviewing today. The Thermaltake Frio Extreme uses the high end construction of combining two tower heatsinks with a dual fan cooling system. " Read More... |

Thermaltake Frio OCK CPU Cooler Review
" The Frio OCK is a dual tower style heatsink that features six 6mm heatpipes and comes equipped with two 130mm fans, which are controllable via Thermaltake’s attached VR fan controller. The included fans are capable of pushing 121 CFM at 48dBA, and they operate from 1,200 to 2,100 RPM. Unlike many other fans that are bundled with coolers on the market, the OCK’s fans are not PWM controlled. The fins on the Frio OCK are made of aluminum and are 0.4mm thick. The Frio OCK is compatible with Intel’s LGA 775/1156/1155/1366/2011 and AMD’s AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2 sockets. " Read More... |

Thermaltake Smart M550W Power Supply Review
" Thermaltake have been active in the power supply sector in the last year, releasing a wide range of supplies to target the broadest possible audience. Today we look at the latest power supply from the company, the Smart M550W, a modular design with 80 Plus Bronze Certification. Thermaltake’s Smart M550W ticks all the right boxes for a media HTPC user. It has a modest power output, modular cables for a neat system build and a large 14cm fan which should hopefully spin slowly. It is also competitively priced in the United Kingdom at time of publication, at £58 inc vat on Scan. " Read More... |

Thermaltake SMART 730 W Review
" Thermaltake is one of the few companies that have a portfolio spanning many different products, including power supplies. As it seems they highly desire a very strong presence in the PSU market and lately they decided to go with the tough economic times, releasing a budget series which promises good performance without any useless bells and whistles. This series is called SMART and consists of modular and non-modular units with capacities ranging from 430W to 730W. All SMART units, except the modular ones which are Bronze certified, have a basic 80 Plus certification and are guaranteed to deliver their full power continuously at up to 40°C operating temperature. Here we should also note that the modular SMART units are made by Channel Well Technology while the non-modular ones are made by HEC/Compucase, so we are talking about two completely different platforms here. Thermaltake Bigwater A80 Liquid-Cooling System Review
" It’s been a while since Thermaltake Technology Co., Ltd. released a liquid-cooling system. The last one was Thermaltake PW880i announced in the middle of 2009, when it made very ambiguous impression. BY the way, that system never became really popular that is probably why it disappeared from retail pretty quickly after that. And finally in the summer of 2011 Thermaltake was ready to announce two new liquid-cooling systems – Bigwater 760 Plus (CLW0211) and Bigwater A80 (CLW0214). The first one is a slightly enhanced modification of the old Big Water 760i with the support for all contemporary platforms and an improved water block and expansion tank. However, the second system is a completely new product for Thermaltake. " Read More... |

Thermaltake Chaser MK-1 Full Tower Review
" The architecture of computer chassis has changed drastically over the past year, in order to fight some of the common problems that users had in the past. In recent releases, more attention has been directed towards cable management and quick and easy installation through almost universal tool less design. However, the most unique thing about the latest cases is not their features but the amount of customization to both looks and equipment that they have to offer. While focused on production of some of the latest water cooling solutions and heatsinks, Thermaltake continues to create unique designs of computer chassis. In this review we will take a look at Thermaltake Chaser MK-I. This case was released in June of last year. Priced at $154.99 on Newegg, this is a full tower loaded with a lot of features. Let us take a closer look in order to see whether this case is truly worth the buy. " Read More... |
