Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition Vapor-X Review

The Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition Vapor-X looks give a good bit of power, with cooler temperatures. The Sapphire 7770 GHz Edition keeps the known GHz overclocks, and adds Sapphire's popular Vapor-X cooling. This combination ensures an efficient operating mainstream video card. The core clock is overclocked to 1100MHz and the memory clock is set at 1300MHz. The Radeon HD 7770 uses the newest 28nm GCN technology. Onboard, there are 640 stream processors and 1GB of GDDR5 memory. This next generation card utilizes the newest PCI Express 3.0 ports for maximum throughput. All of the usual AMD features are included. The Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition Vapor-X can use AMD HD3D technology, AMD Eyefinity 2.0, Shader Model 5.0, OpenGL 4.2, AMD PowerTune, and AMD APP technology. "

Sapphire HD 7770 Vapor-X Graphics Card Review

Since their launch we have been impressed by Sapphires various Vapor-X coolers. Particularly in the case of the 6900 series the Vapor-X was able to take a noisy reference card and turn it into a quiet, cool running product which was much more desirable. Until now though the Vapor-X branding hasn't appeared on any 7000 series products, even though Sapphire have been releasing overclocked and custom designed models for some time. Today we see the first Vapor-X 7000 series card in the shape of a Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 Vapor-X OC Edition. This enhanced version of the 7770 runs at significantly higher clock speeds than the reference model on both core and memory and combines this with a dual fan, vapour chamber cooler and we will be putting it head to head against the GTX 560 in a selection of real world gaming and multimedia tests. Sapphire Pure Platinum Z77K Motherboard Review

Kitguru has reviewed a handful of Z77 motherboards in previous weeks, and today we take a look at the new Pure Platinum Z77K from Sapphire. They face stiff competition in this sector from the likes of Asus, ASRock and MSI. But is the Pure Platinum Z77K worth a purchase? Over the last year we have watched Sapphire make a serious effort to win the hearts and minds of the enthusiast audience, not only with a range of graphics cards, but with a steady release of motherboards. We have reviewed their Pure Black Z79N, the Pure Black 990FX and the Pure Platinum Z68 in the last year. I am actually typing this review from a system I built in January last year using the Pure Black X58 attached to three screens. "

Sapphire HD7870 Overclock Edition Review

Last week we reviewed the overclocked XFX HD7870 Black Edition graphics card, and today we look at the Sapphire HD7870 Overclock Edition. This card features a custom cooler, with twin fans and overclocked out of the box settings to appeal to the enthusiast audience. Sapphire discrete video cards have scored well on Kitguru in recent months, and with good reason. Their coolers are the best on the market, even outperforming solutions from XFX. The combination of low noise levels and excellent cooling proficiency ensure class leading performance. "

Sapphire HD7850 Overclock Edition Review

We have been hard at work for the last week reviewing many new 7000 series cards from AMD’s leading partners. In this review today we are looking at the new Sapphire HD7850 Overclock Edition which features a custom cooling solution and out of the box clock speed enhancements. Sapphire are AMD’s largest and longest standing partner and their custom cooling solutions have been leading the way in the last year. We reviewed the HD7850 reference card on launch day and noted that it ran cool and quiet, so we have high expectations that this custom Sapphire card will improve dramatically on the reference design. Sapphire HD 7870 GHz Edition Review And Benchmarks

Today we will be taking a look at the new HD 7870 Ghz Edition graphics card from the folks over at Sapphire. This is an AMD chipset based card that features Sapphire's proprietary cooling solution that although not their Vapor X solution, still offers excellent cooling. It also features all of the same great features of the other 7000 series cards and with two gigs of GDDR5 it should also work really well in an Eyefinity configuration as well. The chick on the box looks like she is ready to kick some ass and that has been the theme look for most of their cards over the years. The new 7800 series is supposed to compete with the GTX560Ti and GTX570 that are in the same relative price point and if they perform well will be an excellent place for them. The main things that seperate this card from its peers is it is overclocked right out of the box and is not a referance design based card. Let us start out by taking a closer look at the basic features of this new card and then dig even deeper. "

Sapphire HD 7970 OverClock Edition Dual-X Graphics Card Review

AMD launched their Radeon 7900 series in December and at that time there was no word of partner cards. January and CES changed that though with manufacturers getting samples to reviewers and stock into stores and etailers. The majority of those cards were the same though with reference PCBs and coolers only differing in the stickers used. Since January AMDs partners have been dealing with a steady stream of new models from the 7700 and 7800 series and some custom 7970s have been few and far between. With the 7800s launching last week attention has returned to the 7900's with Sapphire first to supply their new custom design, factory overclocked 7970. Today we have one on our test bench and will be putting it through a selection of real world gaming tests, including Battlefield 3 and Mass Effect 3 to find what Sapphire can do with their own design. Sapphire HD7970 Overclock Edition (Dual-X) Score: More about Printer Friendly Send to a Friend Save as PDF Read More...

Sapphire HD7970 Overclock Edition (Dual-X) Review

Very few manufacturers can compete with Sapphire when it comes to creating a flagship video card. Over the last year they have consistently released some of the finest graphics cards to market. Today we are looking at their latest high end HD7970 Overclock Edition which is supplied with twin bios overclock configurations and proprietary twin fan cooling solution. There is no doubt that AMD’s HD7970 is a powerful video card which is currently leading the performance charts, but when we reviewed the reference card a few months ago we weren’t that impressed with the cooling solution. It was certainly a step up from the previous generation, but there is only so much you can do with a solitary, tiny, high spinning fan. Since then we have analysed the XFX DD HD7970 and VTX3D’s overclocked HD7970 X Edition, both of which significantly improved on the reference cooling solution. "

Sapphire HD7750 Ultimate Edition Score: More about Printer Friendly Send to a Friend Save as PDF Read More...

Sapphire HD7750 Ultimate Edition Review

In February I reviewed several HD7750 and HD7770 graphics cards and was ultimately left with mixed feelings. I appreciated the commendable power consumption and modest heat output, but I felt that it was a sideways step for AMD. They seemed more focused on announcing that they had released the first graphics card at a ’1 GHZ clock speed’ while failing to highlight that they had stripped out a substantial amount of stream processors. The reduction from 800 shaders on the HD6770 to 640 on the HD7770 and 512 on the HD7750 caused a substantial performance hit for the new hardware, and the higher clock speeds only helped to counter the reduced processing performance. Today however we have finally an interesting product for review, the passively cooled HD7750 Ultimate Edition from Sapphire. "

Sapphire EDGE HD3 Mini PC Review

We review many high end, power sapping systems destined to power through a variety of intensive Direct X 11 games at super high resolutions. They also cause a huge dent with your electricity bill. Not everyone wants or needs such a high powered system however and today we have the pleasure to look at the latest iteration of the diminutive Sapphire Edge PC. This ‘HD3′ version follows the design ethic of the previous versions, aiming for the smallest possible physical footprint while delivering enough processing power to cover a majority of uses. The Edge HD3 looks very like the older versions of the product … that being super slim with a stylish curved outline. This time around Sapphire have included the latest AMD E450 APU processor. The machine includes a 320GB hard drive, 4GB of DDR3 memory and built in wireless connectivity and a GB LAN port. The system can support resolutions up to 1920×1080 via an HDMI interface, ideal for connection to a large television or PC monitor. "
