ROCCAT Kave 5.1 Gaming Headset Score: More about Printer Friendly Send to a Friend Save as PDF Read More...

ROCCAT Kave 5.1 Gaming Headset Review

ROCCAT known for their gaming products have finally launched a 5.1 surround headset. As other 5.1 headsets the Kave features a USB powered amplifier and control box that adds essential gaming features. The Kave headset has true 5.1 surround sound through eight separate drivers. Cramming four dynamic drivers into each ear cup puts severe limitations on driver size and positioning. ROCCAT have managed to get this right in a reasonably sized headset which is neat. The Kave headset features a lot of well designed pads so the headset should remain comfortable even for extended periods of use. "

ROCCAT Kone[+] Laser Gaming Mouse Review

ROCCAT is one of the major gaming brands out there. ROCCAT's product portfolio has been expanding rapidly ever since the company was formed some years ago. The initial response on their first high performance gaming mouse dubbed Kone was great, now they have released a revised version which remedies many of the small issues on the original Kone mouse. The new mouse is called Kone[+] and features a 6000 DPI laser sensor (Avago ADNS-9500 type). As the name suggests the Kone[+] is an evolution of the original mouse, a refined version with slightly better specifications. The design of the mouse has changed somewhat making the Kone[+] bulkier. Ergonomics wise this is definitely a welcome tweak for all of us with larger than normal hands. The shape has become less organic, but still features some bulges aimed at providing good support for thumb and palm. "

Roccat KONE[+] Gaming Mouse Review

Roccat has introduced three great features unique to the KONE[+] mouse and also equipped it with a 6000dpi Pro Aim laser for some extremely responsive pointing ability. The first innovation is the 4D scroll wheel, which not only scrolls up and down and acts as a button, but also tilts left and right giving you two extra functions without taking up any more space. Secondly is their tracking and distance and control unit, an on board processor that can adapt the KONE[+] to work at its best on any flat surface. Lastly is the introduction of EasyShift[+]. By assigning one of the side buttons to EasyShift[+] you can effectively double the amount of functions the KONE[+] can perform, much like using the shift button of your keyboard, a feature that is further extended by Roccat Talk. Roccat Isku Keyboard Review

We here at Tbreak have spoken before how much appreciate Roccat products. Razer might be the mainstream company (as mainstream as gaming peripheral manufacturers can get), but any serious and/or competitive gamer is at least aware of Roccat’s contributions. The Roccat Isku Keyboard is the latest product from Roccat and one of the most anticipated pieces of gaming gear, and given Roccat’s track record, it is easy to see where all the hype comes from. "

ROCCAT Kulo 7.1 USB Headset Review

Are you tired of your roommate gaming late into the night or during your quiet study hours? Perhaps it is time to get him or her a headset to keep them out of your hair, or better yet, invest in one for yourself to block the noise. Perhaps your roommate is the one frustrated with you! Either way, if you don't already have a headset perhaps now is the time to take a look at the market. There is nothing more convenient than communicating in-game without the obnoxious push-to-chat option enabled. To be honest, I find it extremely irritating when people think it is acceptable to chat with their speakers blaring in the background. "

Roccat Valo Gaming Keyboard Score: More about Printer Friendly Send to a Friend Save as PDF Read More...

Roccat Valo Gaming Keyboard Review

The Roccat Valo keyboard draws attention by the big number of additional keys. It comes with 41 dedicated keys just to record macros with up to 500 (!) keystrokes in a single long sequence. Furthermore, it has illuminated keys and it includes a small microphone to be plugged to the side (for the user who doesn’t want to speak through a headset). Those and other features are going to be examined in the course of this review, beginning with the physical description of the keyboard. First, let’s review what is a macro. As we explained in other reviews, a macro is a long command sequence that can be programmed to be activated by a single keystroke. For gamers, a well-done macro is a timesaver (and sometimes a virtual lifesaver) during a match, like activating your character’s mount with a single button in World of Warcraft. "

ROCCAT Isku Review.

ROCCAT have established a well-respected name in the world of gaming. Previous products like ROCCAT Kave, ROCCAT Alumic and ROCCAT Kone[+] are all highly acclaimed. Though we have seen plenty of headsets and mice from ROCCAT it’s been some time since we have seen a gaming keyboard. Back in March at CeBIT 2011, ROCCAT showcased their upcoming products including their new Illuminated Gaming Keyboard named Isku. As revealed during this short preview, the Isku appeared to have every imaginable feature gamers could need. It falls to us today to finally to get the Isku under the spotlight and see if it really can be seen as a stronger contender within the gaming keyboard sector. "

Roccat Valo Max Customization Gaming Keyboard Score: More about Printer Friendly Send to a Friend Save as PDF Read More...

Roccat Valo Max Customization Gaming Keyboard Review

The Roccat Valo was designed to go beyond the average gaming keyboard. With over 41 macro keys, the Roccat Valo can record and store a massive amount of shortcuts in its 2MB memory. Combined with four switchable layers and five profiles, the Roccat Valo offers maximum customization, not just for in-game macros but for multimedia and productivity, as well. Macros can be recorded live while in-game or through the Roccat Valo driver software. Aside from the macro keys, there are also buttons for volume control, LED lighting control, as well as a Windows key disable button. Since it is made for gamers, the Roccat Valo also comes with audio jacks and a unidirectional microphone accessory that plugs in to the right side, so you can communicate with your teammates when you play online. Roccat Isku Gaming Keyboard Score: More about Printer Friendly Send to a Friend Save as PDF Read More...

Roccat Isku Gaming Keyboard Review

The gaming keyboard market is becoming more and more competitive with recent releases such as the Razer Black Widow Ultimate and SteelSeries 6G V2 leading the way. Roccat have decided to throw another choice into the mix with the latest addition to their gaming peripheral range. Today we are going to look at the Roccat Isku gaming keyboard which has a number of features that are sure to get gamers’ hearts racing. One of these is ‘Roccat Talk’ which lets you combine the Isku with a Kone[+] gaming mouse and share macro functions between the two. It also has all the usual features we would expect from a gaming keyboard like a selection of macro buttons, media buttons and backlit keys. Unlike a lot of the latest high end gaming keyboards, the Roccat Isku uses a membrane design rather than mechanical switches. This reduces the cost of the keyboard but doesn’t provide such a pleasurable typing experience. "

Roccat ISKU Gaming Keyboard Review featuring Roccat TALK

There are a number of manufacturers of gaming peripherals that we keep a close eye on due to positive past experience with their products. Roccat is one of those after some great products such as the Kone[+] mouse and recently they announced the the ISKU gaming keyboard which we were keen to get our hands on. It has to be said though that manufacturers can never rely on past glories, using one of Roccats main competitors as an example a set of recent gaming gear, which should have been excellent, failed to live up to the normal high standards we expect... in fact they were average at best. Today attached to our system is Roccat's ISKU which combines with their high end gaming mouse to enable Roccat Talk. We'll take a look at both the keyboard and Talk today to find out what they offer for those looking to maximise their gaming performance. "
